It's no secret that employees are demanding more flexibility when it comes to where and when they work. But what companies are actually delivering?
Fifty-four percent of people consider themselves "anywhere workers," according to flexible work search platform FlexJobs, but only 5% of remote positions are labeled "work-from-anywhere" jobs, which means the landscape has become highly competitive. To help job seekers assess current work-from-anywhere career opportunities, the platform identified the top 30 companies hiring for work-from-anywhere jobs so far in 2023, as well as the top industries and job titles hiring for these popular positions.
"Work-from-anywhere roles are highly desirable to job seekers and some of the most competitive to land," said Toni Frana, lead career expert at FlexJobs, in a release. "With the majority of professionals seeking flexibility and remote work options, it's likely this trend will continue to grow."

FlexJobs analyzed its database between January 1 and April 15, 2023 to determine which companies had the highest volume of work-from-anywhere job postings. The participating companies also had to meet three specific criteria: they had to allow the employee to work remotely from anywhere with no location restrictions, be fully remote and not require any time in the office, and offer a full-time or part-time schedule.
"Fortunately, and as seen in our list of top companies, more employers across industries are willing to embrace work-from-anywhere arrangements," Frana says. "We hope this list helps demonstrate the career options and connects today's cohort of anywhere workers to the available opportunities out there."
Seven of the 30 companies — including FluentU, Study.com, Wikimedia Foundation and Clipboard Health — have had historically high numbers of work-from-anywhere listings, and have been considered steady prospects for work-from-anywhere roles, even before the pandemic.
